michele_simmsMichele Simms, PhD is associate professor of management and ethics at the University of St. Thomas Cameron School of Business and co-director of the university’s Center for Faculty Excellence. She is the recipient of several teaching awards; published in the areas of business ethics, business-public health partnerships and social entrepreneurship; and recognized in the Who’s Who in Business Higher Education.

 

 

 


sameer_sheikhSameer Sheikh is currently the Assistant to the President at Grameen Foundation. In joining Amom Charity, Sameer brings with him a wide spectrum of experience, namely having served as an Adviser to the President of the Economic and Social Council, at the United Nations, as well as on John Kerry’s Presidential Campaign, where he functioned in multiple capacities. Sameer graduated Cum Laude and with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Philosophy, Political Science and Economics, and has completed programs of study at La Sorbonne and l’Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po).

 

 


bonaventure_nguDr. Bonaventure Ngu is a Chief Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at Sadler Clinic Houston, Texas. Dr.Ngu was born in Cameroon and moved to the United states in 1993 to attend Howard University where he graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in 1996, after which he earned a Doctor of Medicine Degree from The University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2000.
He has been the recipient of several scholastic awards including; The Radiological Society of North America Student Award (1994) and AOA resident Leadership Award (2000).

 

 

 


Ashish-PictureAshish Gupta is a CFA with over nine years of experience in securities research and business development with a particular focus on the energy sector. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin receiving a BBA in Honors Finance from the Business Honors Program, and received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2004.
Mr. Gupta serves as an advisory board member of the University of Texas Business Honors Program, served on the board of Urban Business Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated toward economic revitalization in Houston’s inner-city areas, and as the Texas Alumni Chair of Sponsors for Education Opportunity, an international non-profit organization focused on providing educational scholarships for students of color. He is also an active member and contributor to American India Foundation (AIF), a nonprofit organization devoted to accelerating social and economic change in India.

 


kitzAfowiri “Kitz” Fondzenyuy is Founder and Managing Director. A social entrepreneur and finance professional, he obtained bachelors in Economics and Agribusiness from the University of Dschang in Cameroon, an MBA in International Business from the University of St. Thomas in Houston -Texas, Masters Degree in Finance from Tulane University in New – Orleans, Louisiana and Leadership Certificates in Strategic Framework for Non-profit Organizations, Financial Stewardship non-governmental organizations & Understanding Governance as Leadership from John. F. School of Government at Harvard University.
Kitz is the 2006 recipient of the Greater Houston Business Ethics Scholarship Award for his work on Amom Charity, loves people and travel.
